I had a dream this morning where l was told l was like a tame tiger and in the dream l responded by saying, you haven't seen me when I'm fierce. You wouldn't like it. The dream got me thinking about the nature of my own power. What is it, do l really understand it, and how do l use/not use it? Have l truly embraced it or am l afraid of it? And in a moment of divine inspiration and guidance, l realised my relationship with my divine inner tiger (power) wasn't what l thought it was. As a child, I was taught to fear my power, l was taught to play small, and now there are gaps in my belief system where I'm afraid of my power and its intensity, so l placate or avoid it. In the waking world this may look like not speaking up, not wanting to rock to the boat, not telling others how we really feel, not speaking our truth for fear of being judged, avoiding 'negative' feelings, or even using spirituality as a reason for not embracing our power because we are taught that power is bad. It is not. It is the conduit to our connection to Source energy, it is the conduit that gives juice to our ability to manifest our greatest desires, it is the source of our physical, emotional and spiritual 'energy', and without it we cannot continue to grow or ascend. ©️ Melanie Ferguson, 2020.
