Saturday was another weird day where I didn't eat much because I was busy with work so after work I went to @hobbsburgerco again for a miso horny chicken burger. SIMPLE CARBS CAN BE GOOD WHEN TIMED WELL!! My choice for post nutrition. The aim when muscle building is to get protein back to the muscles as quickly as possible and refuel glycogen store. So for this I use a 50/50 mix of maltodextrin and dextrose to increase insulin and promote protein synthesis. The other reason for this is glycogen is most likely depleted from a hard workout and shorter chain sugars like dextrose are absorbed the quickest. Maltodextrin has a longer chain but uses less water when absorbing so can help prevent dehydration. Moving on from toxicity ♥ / 17.02.2020 ⠀⠀⠀ To put it lightly, I’ve had an emotional couple of days. Within going into detail, one of my biggest fears is not being a mother before 30, it’s a ridiculous fear but my entire family has all had kids before 27, I turn 27 in June and there isn’t a day that goes by that my age isn’t an issue for me. ⠀⠀ If it wasn’t an issue for me I wouldn’t have put up with so much shit from my now ex, I used to be so good at removing toxic people from my life, but as I get older it’s like I’m willing to accept being a doormat and that needs to stop. ⠀⠀ Time to focus on ME. OVERTRAINING/OVERREACCHING Per parlare di overtraining e di overreachng dobbiamo partire parlando dell’allenamento. L’allenamento si può considerare un processo pedagogico educativo complesso che permette di stimolare i processi fisiologici di supercompensazione dell’organismo e migliorare le capacità fisiche, psichiche e tecniche dell’atleta. I parametri da tenere in considerazione sono la qualità, la quantità e l’intensità che tramite l’organizzazione dell’esercizio fisico porterà l’aumento progressivo dei carichi allenanti. Un fattore da tenere in considerazione è l’adattamento dell’atleta che sarà sempre alla ricerca di una condizione di equilibrio e tenderà a ripristinare i valori normali di omeostasi. Questo processo può essere momentaneamente rallentato dagli stimoli allenanti, in quanto producendo affaticamento, porta ad una perdita momentanea di capacità di mantenimento della prestazione, che porta ad una fase più o meno lunga di recupero. Tutto questo porta alla supercompensazione. Quando gestiamo bene la programmazione ed alterniamo bene lavoro/recupero le prestazioni aumenteranno. Quando succede che gli stimoli sono eccessivi e non si alterna una giusta fase di recupero, la prestazione può anche peggiorare e si ha l’overtraining. Cominciamo a fare distinzioni tra over training ed overreaching. L’OVERREACHING è un accumulo di allenamento e/o stress da non allenamento che determina nel breve periodo un peggioramento della prestazione che si può recuperare con un riposo che va da alcuni giorni ad alcune settimane. L’overreaching accompagnato da una buona fase di recupero è funzionale ad un aumento della prestazione, mentre senza una buona fase di recupero porta all’overtraining. Quindi il Functional overreaching è un overreaching a breve termine in cui a causa del carico di allenamento si ha una prima fase di diminuzione della prestazione con conseguente incremento dio la fase di recupero. In Non Functional Overreaching è un overreaching a lungo termine in cui per i forti stress dati dall’allenamento senza un buon recupero portano all’overtraining.
