We thought it might be useful for you while we’re all on lockdown to do a daily video to help you through these unsettled times with your children. There are definitely some positives we can all try to draw from this experience; connecting with our children and family, ability to remain more present, less depleted, less time poor etc. Although realistically there will be some challenges along the way; moments where we feel totally overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, doubting our parenting skills, not even touching on home schooling!😬 We know how much this is affecting us as adults so our children will be feeling a range of emotions too. Loving kindness meditation. Take deep, slow breaths. Breathe love and kindness into your body, you can visualise a colour as you inhale to represent this if it helps you, breathe compassion and love as you exhale, visualise a different colour flowing out of you. You could use phrases that resonate with you as you deep breathe, such as may I be happy, may I be safe. Repeat. Then when you are ready. Use the words may you be happy, may you be safe.
