💫 WEEK 7 GOALS 💫 • Last weeks goals didn’t go as well as I had originally hoped, but in a sense I’m kind of glad cause I wouldn’t have realised that I’m asking too much of myself otherwise! Not only a new week but a new month. . . I think right now it’s very difficult to see a ‘new month’ or ‘new week’ having any significance or any real meaning. But it is so so important we make sure it does! Lockdown has been, is been and will be tough for everyone in different ways. . . When we went into this lockdown my biggest fear was that I was going to achieve nothing and waste away a year of my life with nothing to show for it at the end. This was supposed to be a great year for me. I had just finished school, I had a job that I loved, my life finally felt like it was working out how I wanted to and then Corona happened. . . I care home from a holiday in Dubai to be made redundant from one job, to be furloughed at the other and be told the UK was going into Lockdown. For such a great holiday, the ending was a bit shit ngl. . . But this lockdown has turned out to be amazing for me. I went into it with no long term plan, no real interests or passions and I’m now here two months in feeling like I actually know what I want to do with my life. . . Everyone has suffered and it has been hard for us all. But when you look back on 2020 in another year or ten I hope you find something good that has come out of this. Be that clapping with your neighbours, finding a love of fitness or spending time with loved ones, remember those good moments 💓

Happy June 1st! ☀️ I’ve had another rest day today as the last few leg days from @Shreddy have left me unable to walk 🙃😂 So it’s a new month and I’ve seen lots of people setting goals which I think is such a good idea so I’m going to give it a go! I’m hoping to finally finish and submit all my uni work this month so I can enjoy the summer before third year 😌 I’m hoping to focus more and what makes me happy and what I am grateful for and work on these areas of my life! It’s the 1st June ✨ NEW MONTH. NEW WEEK. NEW GOALS. NEW MOTIVATION. Although we shouldn’t wait till Monday to start our new goals, I feel Monday’s always come with a little more motivation. Which is why I’m excited to start working towards my new daily goals. Which are: ✨ Start tracking calories ✨ Run 75 km in June ✨ 15 k steps a day I used to track my calories daily, and I felt it really helps me feel better and make healthier choices. Goals for June: • Drink 3L a day minimum • Daily yoga • Try 3 new recipes • 5-6 workouts a week (resistance/LISS/HIIT) . As a result, by the end of the month I want to feel good in my fav lilac denim skirt . I haven’t lost any weight in over a month, which is absolutely fine. I haven’t gained any either which is the main thing - my arms have def changed shape. Even more so during lockdown than they did through all my years of lifting weights so I’m fully thanking yoga for that. Nevertheless, I’ve got work to do. I’m feeling good but could be feeling better . I haven’t made any of my goals weight based, because weight fluctuates and I want this month to be positive. Food cravings • • Now for starters, I would never promote depriving your body of something! If you crave something, it’s normally for a reason.. listen to your body.. have little and often- everything in moderation and all that!! • • But saying that- I’ve been prone to binge eating in the past and few bits of research have really helped me.. so if this is you too, hopefully some these will help you as well! • • • 1- CRAVING OR HUNGER? NAME IT! Research shows if you are wanting a specific food, it’s probably a craving. However, if you’d eat anything- you are hungry! Time to eat. 2- SNIFF SOMETHING There’s evidence to prove that sniffing a non-food scent can curb chocolate cravings! P R O G R E S S • I can put my hand up and say I’ve been guilty of doing this 👆🏻A couple of weeks ago I felt really frustrated that the scales had stopped changing and seeing everyone else’s ‘scale victories’ got me all kinds of 🤬 • The number still hasn’t changed much BUT my attitude has. YES I have to keep myself in check by reminding myself of my goals for this journey and sometimes I get a little frustrated. But then I remind myself why I’m here and of the goals that are SO much more important than a number 👏🏻 • N O N E - S C A L E • V I C T O R I E S • 1. Previously I’ve found myself to loose interest in fitness programmes but I’ve become more disciplined and have committed fully to both @shreddy & @_couchto5k ✅ 2. I’ve done something beneficial for myself during this weird furlough time and have made a huge amount of progress in my injury recovery 💪🏻 4. i don’t think ill ever get the hang of these backward selfies that are 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 on everyone else 😂😭 but we will continue to try 🤞🏻⁣ ⁣ you may have seen on my story that my first year exams started this morning and end on the 15th june so, unfortunately, that will have to take precedence in my daily life - but i’m still feeling motivated and have planned my week definitely leaving enough time to do my three @shreddy workouts 🤩⁣ ⁣ i’m so sad the #shreddysteadygo challenge is coming to an end and i’m also sad that i’m still a week behind ☹️ but i’m excited to see if i make any major changes in the next two weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️⁣ ⁣ i’ve also just remembered that my brother’s wedding was meant to be the day after the challenge ended but it’s now been moved to next year because of lockdown - i’m really sad about it and it was honestly my main motivation for getting fitter and more ‘toned’ but we’ve managed to still get through it anyway 👍🏻⁣ ⁣ so just a reminder that there’s no need to feel guilty for being sad that plans are being cancelled/moved - obviously it’s absolutely the right thing to do and maintaining health is definitely more important but it’s okay to be a little disheartened at the change 💛

Day 43: HIIT and arms&abs 💪🏼 . Had the weekend off - did zero exercise, didn’t track calories on Saturday (a socially distanced picnic for lunch and then Chinese takeaway for dinner = overload of food 😅) and had a laaazy day on Sunday. I know I shouldn’t feel bad but I do slightly because the day after the Chinese I weighed myself (big mistake) and had put on 1.1kg 🙃 I know a lot of that will be water weight etc but it’s still hard to tell myself that mentally! Today I weighed myself again and it was half that extra weight so fingers crossed tomorrow it goes back to what it was 😅 Anyway, today was a new week and I started it well ☺️ Courtney Black HIIT at 8am then last weeks arms and abs after. I was so deflated on Friday that I didn’t have the motivation to do it so I’ve incorporated it into this week. . Hope everyone’s enjoying the sunny weather and not getting burnt 🥵

Sausage Pesto Pasta 😍 • I lived off this at Uni as it’s such an easy meal to make and is still one of the meals I crave soo much! body image, the way we perceive ourselves📸🧐⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ yesterday i had such a bad body image day, i don't really know why. I put on these shorts that were sooooo tight for me last summer.. BUT they were baggy, i smiled and was SOOOOO happy... i then looked in the mirror and didn't like them, i didn't like the way i looked, i could have cried🙈😫⠀ ⠀⠀ Why? why did i feel like this? i was SO happy that they fit, happy they were baggy and finally the mom style i wanted. I had this perception yesterday that i was not skinny enough to where these shorts, that i didn't look good and i just really didn't want to wear them🙃🙃⠀ ⠀⠀ We all need to be kind and realise that our body releases hormones which make you more aware of how you look, and more aware of other people’s bodies. These changes happen to everyone, and can sometimes make you feel out of control or anxious🤭😶😑⠀ ⠀⠀ Focus on the things you like about yourself, and the parts of your body that you like🥰🥰🥰⠀ ⠀⠀ we are all B E A U T I F U L💜❤️🧡💛

🦋JUNE🦋 ⠀ Holy shiiiiiiit, we’re in June. I can’t actually believe it. I don’t know where the hell the time has gone since March 🤷🏻‍♀️ ⠀ I am excited for this month. Well that was hard work 🙃😫 but SO SO worth it for the good feeling after! Signed up to @shreddy last week and started it today! 🥳 I haven’t done circuits for an exercise class in so long so I think my body was a bit shocked but I managed it! My new Apple Watch recorded the workout and I was pleasantly surprised to see nearly 250kcal burnt from just 25 mins of activity!
