It’s almost Friday and my week has been so good! I’ve been on my gameee for my workouts and I’m just so happy with my split that I’m currently doing. Finished off my leg workout from last night and completed the booty workout tonight at the gym. Feeling very proud of myself do going to the gym tonight as I made the mistake of coming home from work for my tea before going to the gym and I was just so warm and cosy on the couch I didn’t want to leave. But after ten minutes scrolling through Instagram and seeing all the shreddy community smashing their goals it really motivated me to get my arse up and in the gym!! I even did a new exercise: good mornings. I’ve never tried them before, but I really enjoyed them! I normally get quite nervous when trying out new exercises in case I do it wrong and someone sees me, but luckily the gym was pretty quiet and I was able to go hide in the other room and try them out in peace. As a little Sunday treat (it’s been so long and I didn’t post it I’ve just realized it’s already Thursday but I’ve been so busy 😣) I did this and they were so good !!! . . Chocolate peanut butter chickpea bombs 🥜🍫💣💣!! These are vegan, full of protein and healthy fats and I swear you will want to eat all of them by yourself so I totally recommend you do this with a friend 😅... . Ingredients 🍪: • 1/2 cup chickpeas • 1/4 cup peanut butter 🥜 • 1 tbsp maple syrup 🍁 • 1 tsp baking powder •some stevia drops (I added about 8) • 1 tbsp vanilla extract • 1.5 tbsp almond milk • a pinch of salt • 1/2 scoop vanilla or chocolate vegan protein powder • some dark chocolate squares 🍫 . . HOW TO 📝 1️⃣ Mix all of the ingredients in a food processor except the chocolate squares until you have an homogeneous mixture 2️⃣ Wet your hands a bit and fall small bombs with the mixture. Sat in the cold British weather thinking back to earlier this year when I fulfilled (some of) my travel dreams! I was nervous about losing all the muscle that I had worked so hard to build. Yet here I am after 3 months away. I remember feeling very deflated at the time but this goes to show what your mind can do to you. Take some time off if you want and don’t feel bad about it! Take pictures often!! I try to take lots of photos so that when I feel stagnant, I don’t forget how far I’ve come. I’m currently have a 3week break from the scales, as I felt myself obsessing over it🤦🏽‍♀️ but still hitting the gym hard🤪. Lil progress pic 🤗 (The lighting is different so it’s probably not an accurate representation) 🙃 The picture on the left is 1 week into the @shreddy lean muscle guide and the one on the right is from Sunday night, 4 weeks into #shreddy I’ve been having a lot of fun following this guide, I love that the workouts alternate different variations of the main lifts that you’d expect to see in any sort of weight lifting plan and that the supersets/ accessory work switches up often enough to keep the workouts exciting. I’m experiencing DOMs like I’ve never experienced them before and I LOVE it. Honestly cannot recommend Shreddy enough, could not imagine training without it now. So, I can definitely see some changes in my body and I’m super proud of myself for being pretty consistent at completing 5/5 workouts a week. My problem is that I’m STRUGGLING to eat enough for how much I’m working out. My weight is pretty much the same even though I’m eating considerably more and I want GAINZZZZ!!! For the first time in my life I’m frustrated that my weight isn’t increasing. Today was a good day! Post gym body appreciation post In reality aside from my workout I've been sat at a desk revising over a hot water bottle.. the pain is so real 😭 Dinner was a carb fest of pesto pasta with kale, mushrooms and Linda's! I've really enjoyed trying the new workouts this week although the Fat Loss upper body and abs was incredibly short! Vegan breakfast for dinner was a bloody triumph! Waffles, beans, mushrooms, Linda McCartney sausages and tofu scramble which was WAY better than I anticipated. It was cooked on garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, turmerick, salt, pepper and nutritional yeast (all blended together in a bit of water so it distributes more easily in the tofu). Drizzle of sriracha and voila.
