Over a couple months. I’m actually quite happy about this, considering I wasn’t watching my weight that much and still eating junk foods. Happy June!! Today I hit a pull session! My workout included: 🌞 RB Chest Press 4x12 🌞 RB Chest Fly 4x12 🌞 Close Grip DB Press 4x12 🌞 DB Skullcrushers 4x12 🌞 Hammer Front Raises 3x12 🌞 DB Single Arm Overhead Press 3x12 🌞 Bench Dips 5x12 Really missing the gym on my upper body days 😞 Can’t wait to be in a time where it’s safe to go to the gym regularly. Looking at the month of May, I completed a 100 mile May, and started doing more yoga. I put time into my diet and have seen some results! Looking forward to what June holds for me. On another note; with everything that’s going on right now, I hope everyone has had time to talk to someone the situation at hand. I know that I have many emotions about the protests and riots going on around the country and I can imagine that you all do too. Talking about how you feel is important. i know I already mentioned this in my ig story but it’s been really hard keeping up with @shreddy the past couple of days. With everything that’s been going on in the US, I just haven’t been motivated. It’s been hard being on social media and seeing all the horrific things these protestors are having to deal with. Police brutality and racism are real. It’s so important to educate those around you and call out your racist family members. This all goes beyond social media bc you have to do the work in everyday life as well. Black lives DO matter!! 🌟WEEK 1 RESULTS🌟 . Well, I did it! I completed the first week (the week with the most severe deficit) of my 3 week mini-cut and let me tell you, I feel pretty happy with my progress! 😀 . My adherence was really good nutritionally, although I really missed the mark with training this week. I don’t really have a reason, it was just a more challenging week mentally and so I gave myself a bit of a break🙌 . It was the best thing for me because now I’m rested, excited and ready to hit it hard this week. It’s such a great example of how important it is to be kind to yourself & allow for breaks when you need them 💛 . In the end, I’m super happy with my week and I’m loving the changes I see. I treated myself to a cooked breakfast this morning. This bowl is filled with mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, potato hash, grated broccoli stalk, loads of spinach and some Avocado. It comes to less than 400 calories & 18 grams of protein. It’s totally stuffed me 🐷 Under eating is not needed to lose weight. There’s a challenge starting on the 1st of June - @eatyourvegchallenge which is created by @plantifulkiki @highcarbhannah and @chelseamaecullen. The challenge is to fill at least half of every plate with non starchy veggies. These are some of the most satiating yet low calorie foods going. It is possible to eat loads and lose fat/weight. 👂 Listen to your body 💜 Today was meant to be week 8 run 2 of @_couchto5k. As soon as I started running I knew I wasn’t prepared for it energy wise. So I walked the route instead, I did run for a few minutes here and there but tbh I enjoyed the walk! Nature is thriving right now ☀️🐞🐝🐣🌸🌼 I’m going to do the run either tomorrow or Sunday. I’ve come so far and I am capable of running for 28 minutes, which is absolutely shocking to me. The first run of C25K actually knocked me sick...I’m very proud of how I’ve pushed myself and not missed one day. This was so good. I watched @potato.wisdom’s story and it totally inspired me to make potato hash too. I boiled new potatoes, mashed them up with chopped spinach, grated broccoli stalk, paprika and cayenne pepper. I baked it in the oven for about 30 minutes until crispy. Last week I cried to my boyfriend about how I didn’t think I’d ever start to lose my excess body fat. I don’t have a full length mirror so have no clue what’s going on below my shoulders. 🤷‍♀️ The day after crying I had my 1 month progress pictures and measurements to take and was definitely happy with the results! 😍 Over 4 weeks ago I started being more mindful of what I was eating. Limiting snacks of crisps, chocolate and all the other dead calories. Then about a week or so after I started the @shreddy app which really helped to keep me consistent. I have been going on bike rides as well as doing @_couchto5k. 🌟 Easy AF pancakes 🌟 🥞 In a blender mix 1 large ripe banana, 1 cup of plant milk (I used coconut), 1 cup of oats, 2 teaspoons of Maca Powder and half a teaspoon of baking soda. 👩‍🍳 Fry on a low heat and be patient, only flip these when they’re definitely almost cooked through (you can tell by the change in colour on the showing side). You need to take your time cooking these so pop the oven on a low heat and keep the cooked ones inside until you’re ready to munch! 🍓 For the compote I put some frozen summer fruits in a pan, 2 teaspoons of coconut sugar and a little bit of water. Cook until soft and mushy! 🥥 Top the pancakes with whatever you like, I had Coconut Yogurt, summer fruit compote and some hemp seeds. 🌱What I ate today ~ Vegan! Breakfast ~ Cherry Chocolate Porridge made with Raw Cacao and Coconut Milk 🥥 Lunch ~ Juicy Sweet Potato with Quinoa, hummus and Sauerkraut. Dinner ~ Mushroom, Kale, Pea and Sweetcorn stir fry with brown rice and a Sweet Potato burger from @aldiuk. Snacks ~ Homemade summer fruit crumble and strawberry ice cream and a large handful of @lovecorn_snacks. I think I let myself down with snacking today. VEGAN - What I ate today 🌱 Breakfast ~ Apple & Cinnamon Porridge with Maca powder (good for hormones) and sprinkled with Hemp Seeds and Cacao nibs. Lunch ~ Vegan Sausage Roll (made the mistake of shopping when hungry and had to munch something). A small bowl of @coconutcollab Yogurt with Strawberries and mulled pumpkin seeds. Snack ~ 1 Pear & 1 Apple. Snack 2 ~ 2 pieces of toasted @bfreefoods Sweet Potato Bread. Dinner ~ Satay Peanut stir fry with thin rice noodles. Pudding ~ Homemade Summerfruit Crumble and Morrison’s own brand vegan strawberry ice cream. The ice cream is 80p and so creamy! 🌟 I feel like I ate quite a bit today, I’m fine with it though. I’m on my period and during these times I can eat a bit more.
